After reading a fascinating book about the history of the color blue I wanted to paint a 'blue' picture. I like this combination of a dark skinned man wearing the color indigo, I think it very beautiful. I've tried to mix a color blue that looks a bit indigo.

After working as a teacher and graphic designer I decided some years ago that I wanted to make my own pictures, telling my own stories. So I started painting ( first in acrylic, by now mostly in oil). And now time has come to show them!
I love to watch people. I ‘m interested in how they move, look at. I generally use pictures I find on the internet, in newspapers and illustrated magazines. A bit strange, uncomfortable, absurd or surrealistic, pictures intrigue me. Sometimes I don’t have a clue. By adding something, a new picture arises, a new story unfolds. For me, for the observer.
