Born and raised in Istanbul, I have called Dubai my home for the past 12 years. This journey between two vibrant cultures has deeply influenced my artistic perspective, which is rooted in a lifelong fascination with nature's elegant forms. I draw immense inspiration from the fundamental elements of the desert landscape that surround me the mesmerizing movement of water and the serene, shifting shapes of sand dunes. My work embraces a simple, abstract aesthetic, where intricate details are distilled into powerful, evocative forms. It is a convergence of my architectural background and my personal artistic exploration. While I am a formally trained, award-winning architect from Istanbul Technical University, I am also self-taught in my current style. This blend of disciplines allows me to approach art with both a structured eye for design and a freedom of expression. I choose to work with acrylic on stainless steel because I am drawn to the material's durability and permanence. The polished, reflective surface of the steel provides a unique and elevated foundation for my cold color palette. This pairing creates a powerful contrast between the fluid, organic shapes I paint and the strong, industrial canvas they exist on. The result is a piece that not only captures a moment in time but also possesses a lasting, elegant presence, often presenting a dynamic interplay of light and shadow within its undulating forms. My professional journey as an architect has been recognized with the Young Talent of the Year award by Design Middle East, an honor that has greatly influenced my artistic development. This recognition underscores my passion for design and my commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
