I paint expressive and modern floral watercolors. I live the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains in California with my family, where I take my inspiration from nature all around me. Many of my watercolors explore vibrant colors because I enjoy the uplift in mood bright colors bring as I paint. Flowers have captivated me for years, especially as I leaned into watercolor. One of my top inspirational artists is Georgia O'Keefe, the textures and shapes and colors of her florals and abstracts have enchanted me. I want to bring a contemporary lens to floral watercolors in the same way she did, but of course in my own style. I have been painting for more than twenty years. I fell in love with watercolor at a young age and have been working on my techniques, especially florals to create a detail and colorful style.
