Rym Magdi is an Egyptian artist, whose practice spans various mediums such as drawing, painting, collage, digital art, and performance art.Her recent work is the result of ongoing personal experimentation—self-taken photographs that are digitally collaged and manipulated to express intimate emotions and thoughts in a universal language. She thinks that we are more alike than we realize or like to admit. Through her art, Rym reflects on the shared nature of human feeling. Though faces and stories may differ, emotions remain universal. She has held two solo exhibitions, an interactive performance art and numerous group shows and competitions. In her visual world, boundaries blur, intersect, and dissolve, and reappear inviting the viewer to let go of words and simply feel. a realm where emotion, memory, and imagination intertwine.
