Flavio Cesarini started painting during his study in architecture at the University of Florence. What started as a need to compensate the limited use of colors in architectural design, developed into a passion that never abandoned him. When observing his early artistic production a predilection for intuitive forms and strongly characterized figures can be easily discovered. Recent works, after years of experience and experimentation with new techniques, have reached a great degree of expressive freedom. Color streams and forms reflect the painter’s inner mood in a spontaneous, natural way. Actually (2025) Cesarini’s artistic research implies the use of photography, image manipulation software, giclée print and traditional drawing and painting techniques, in order to obtain series of artworks sharing the same abstraction.
