Vladimir Shir is a contemporary French Impressionist based in Autun, Burgundy. His paintings blend light, atmosphere, and vivid color, continuing the tradition of European impressionism with a personal modern vision. Working with oils and watercolors, Shir develops his own intuitive technique rooted in direct perception, without preliminary sketches. His method reveals images layer by layer, creating depth, luminosity, and a sense of inner revelation. His unusual sensitivity to color gives his works a glowing presence, often described as spiritual and timeless. Shir is an active member of two artists’ associations in France and part of the collective La Boutique at Galerie Le Passage in Autun. His works have been exhibited internationally, with recent highlights including the Lightfall Open Call (Hungary, Austria, USA). He is a Lifetime Solo Elite Artist at Teravarna Gallery (Los Angeles) and a Certificate of Artistic Achievement laureate of the Luxembourg Art Prize 2024.
