Summa Bosniaca II Painting

Sead Emrić is contemporary abstract artist that finds inspiration in the cultural heritage of his home country. Trough his art he connects his own inner feelings and emotions with the history of Bosnia, this way trying to preserve the true identity of the culture where his ancestors lived. Sead was born in a small village in Bosnia and his first attempts in art were in his early days of adolescence. Born in the typical rural environment it was difficult to express the love for art, but Sead found his passion for art to topple that constant constraint of his surrounding. His first exhibition was during his high school days where he attempted to promote his own work, no matter how inexperienced, to the newfound and more open-minded environment of city of Bosanska Krupa, Sead is present on cultural and art stage of both Bosnia and surrounding countries for almost 40 years, during which time he created numerous artworks of many diverse media. Sead started with basic drawing in his early teen years, which he advanced to painting during adolescence, further developing to art prints and later finding inspiration in mixed media and art installations. Every of his work finds deep roots in long lost Bosnian culture, which purpose is to preserve it's memory to the upcoming generations. Sead has exhibited on numerous exhibitions both Solo and Collective, in many different countries around the world. His career as a cultural representative of his home town did not prevent him to actively present Bosnia on the world art stage.
