Enayatullah Niazi is a visual artist and former professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kabul University, where he also served as Head of the Painting Department. With a foundation rooted in classical artistic training, Niazi has developed a distinctive contemporary approach through his original style, Life in Free Lines (LIFL). This method explores movement and emotional rhythm through flowing linear structures, layered textures, and expressive brushwork, creating a dynamic visual language that conveys atmosphere, motion, and narrative depth.
His work draws inspiration from Afghan culture, collective memory, and everyday life, often translating traditional subjects into modern expressive compositions. Using oil on canvas alongside experimental techniques involving palette knives, sponges, and unconventional tools, Niazi achieves a tactile sense of energy and material presence. The Life in Free Lines style is especially evident in his depictions of Buzkashi, traditional dance, and symbolic figurative scenes, where form and movement merge into vibrant storytelling.
