Eric Delaval

As a landscape painter I mostly paint en plein air in oils. I like being in contact with nature and painting outdoors is the best way to connect with it. It is not so much about creating an exact picture of my surroundings but intending to encapsulate its essence an atmosphere. A bit like Cezanne one of my favourite painters. As I have lived mostly overseas and travelled extensively I have painted in various different countries. Now I paint on the Costa Brava in Spain. I like its beautiful scenery and vibrant Mediterranean colours. I keep exhibiting regularly mostly in Spain and France. My paintings are held in private collections in Europe and overseas.
