Through my vision I paint motives observed in nature. A humble meadow flower is dearer to me than an illuminated skyscraper in the middle of a big city. In the rays of the sun - all the dust is made of gold. Light is what I want to paint, what I seek and what I value the most, what I guard and admire. The light is what I chase; only it allows me to fulfill my desires.
My element is water; it occasionally flows into my paintings. It lives there, in the splashes of waves, piles of fog, in the snow, in ice or glare. It has the ability to take the form of its vessel, to change constantly. Since our body is mostly composed of water, to my mind, it is important how we manage to structure our internal water, arrange it. The personal water space is an individual responsibility. What is that space like? Individually we are creating a collective space of water on planet Earth. What is the Earth we want to see like?
My ambition is to create paintings that resemble small harbors of peace - shelters from today's crazy pace of life, complicated public relations, disastrous hive of stress and information.
