Erik Kling is an American abstract expressionist artist creating large-scale original abstract paintings in acrylic enamel and oil enamel on canvas. His work is exhibited, collected, and placed through AXYNAO, the gallery and cultural platform he founded, where his paintings are on permanent exhibition through 2026 and 2027, and through Erik's Art Studio.
Kling's paintings are built as architectural anchors, not decorative objects. Each canvas develops through decisive gesture, layered color fields, and a deliberate balance between control and surrender — movement, light, and tension held within a single structure. Influenced by music, by a life divided between the United States, Germany, and Greece, and by the invisible forces that shape human experience, his work returns to themes of transition, emergence, and the irreversible moment when energy becomes form.
