Bast Etxeverria

Hi, I'm Bast, a.k.a. Etxebast. I'm an Artist! Self-taught and off the beaten path, my painting is color, texture and movement. Figurative abstract one might say, but more Post-Impressionism expressionist, with a touch of Fauvism.

Fell in pictorial art since I was a kid, aunt teacher of visual art, a painter mother, early on I started to paint.
At 14 I began exhibitions, contests, etc ... I did not want to lose my creative essence by following a trail route, which is why mine is atypical. Since more than 30 years that I handle the pigment, today, thanks to internships, workshops, books and courses, I acquired a strong experience, away from academicism. So I think I keep my emotions intact and I can rebroadcast on the canvas. And continue to learn, to discover, to explore ...

I paint only with knives, spatulas, fingers and toes brush or wood ... I use the brush for acrylic that I often put in first juice or background, which I then covered more or less completely to see oil painting ... my painting is meant to be different to each viewer so that it sees there that only he can see, my painting is expressive, violent, movement, color, power.
