Eugenija Martinaityte

EUGENIJA MARTINAITYTE was born in Kaunas and has been living in Vilnius since 1955. Higher education - KTU economy. Doctoral dissertation defended at Moscow State University of Management (1979, nostrified in 1993). Associate Professor in Social Sciences (nostrified in 1993). Included in Lithuanian and US encyclopedias, and has written about 30 scientific publications in three collective monographs. In 1986, she headed the Dep. Vilnius Technical University. Director of Programs at the Open Society Fund Lithuania since 1992, later headed the Lithuanian Institute of Banking, Insurance and Finance until 2004. Worked as an associate professor at Vilnius University, Vytautas Magnus University, International School of Management (ISM),Mykolas Romer University. In 2017 the doctoral thesis of here supervised Phstudent R. Kregždaitė was recognized among the top five in the field of social sciences and humanities in Lithuania. Relevant evaluations in the professional field - letter from the US Embassy, gratitude from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania (for the insights of Lithuania's strategy to 2015 in the financial field).expert work for Lithuanian and foreign institutions (Rustaveli Foundation, COST).

Participated in national exhibitions in Vilnius and international plenaries (Latvia, Armenia). After a long break (due the Independency of Lithuania and social/political restructuring), she again takes part in exhibitions with new works: Lithuanian Song Celebration at the Applied Art Exhibition (2014, 2018), M.Bičiūnienė's Primitive Painting (2015, awarded Vilnius Municipality Prize, 2017 – second place), Vilnius Regional Competitive Folk Art Exhibition ,, Golden Wreath-2015, 2017 “in exhibitions-contests. She organized solo exhibitions and collective exhibitions. Acknowledgments: Two works were purchased by the Lithuanian National Museum, Vilnius City Municipal Promotion Prize (2015 in the Golden Crown of Vilnius Region (Second place, 2015, Third place, 2017). Exhibition in the Lithuanian Embassy in Warsaw. Favorite motifs: panoramic views, old town, wooden houses, rural landscape, dunes, rural landscapes, panoramas of Vilnius. Painting technique - tempera, oil, acrylic.
