Evgeniia Strashko is a textile artist working with hand embroidery and dry felting, using reclaimed wool, cotton threads, and found materials. Her practice is shaped by movement between places - from the Ural Mountains to St. Petersburg, and later to the Caucasus region, where close contact with nature and traditional cultures influenced her visual language.

In recent years, she has participated in independent and group exhibitions and has led eco-art workshops in mountain communities. Her work is rooted in observation, self-reflection, and an ongoing engagement with the histories and traditions of the places she has lived.

Strashko’s practice explores materiality, repetition, and the physical presence of the artist’s hand. Working with wool as a primary medium, she creates textile panels that draw from folk, mythological, and devotional imagery, existing between image and object.

Now based in Woodbridge, New Jersey, she recently made her U.S. exhibition debut at the Barron Arts Center. Her works are held in private collections internationally.
