My work begins where boundaries dissolve. I use organic and reclaimed materials -paper, rope, pigments, resin, even fire -to shape forms that feel at once fragile and enduring. Each piece carries a memory of nature’s intelligence and the human desire for connection.
The Hug Me series grew from a need for closeness in a world of distance. The Confini works explore borders -geographic, emotional, spiritual -and what it means to cross or soften them. And Acupuncture for the Planet is my call to treat Earth itself as a living body, one that requires care and attention.
I believe art is not an object to possess but an experience to share. Collecting a work means becoming part of this dialogue, between humanity and nature, between presence and memory, between what we hold onto and what we must release.
Formed outside the academic system, Fabio Pietrantonio has built a distinctive practice through three decades of full-time artistic work. His journey as a self-taught artist was celebrated with a 30-year career retrospective at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in London.
