Fatma Cevik

I was born in Çorum in 1970. I graduated from Eskişehir University Public Relations and Publicity Department. I live in Ankara. I am still continuing my painting works at the Artist Hikmet Çetinkaya Painting Workshop.

⁃ In 2008, I realized that nature and colors are good for my soul after my spiritual and emotional transition processes that started when I sent off my spouse and my life partner to eternity. Already over the years, I have been interested in many fields of art such as Handicrafts, Tile Art, Charcoal etc. I have met with Empressionism in 2009 when we crossed paths with Artist Erdoğan Seçil. I got my first basic painting education from him. Then, in 2017, I started to learn painting from Artist Hikmet Çetinkaya. I started to freely transfer my feelings by deforming light, color, stain and textures with oil paint and spatula and have been enjoying it immensely. Painting for me is to recreate my own nature with my light and colors based on the nature that is my inspiration; transfer my emotions and colors in my palette to the canvas freely and enthusiastically and get lost in the colors. As Claude Monet said;
"What keeps my heart awake is colorful silence."
