Frani Evedon

I have been a fine art photographer for over 30 years. My work has been exhibited in over 30 group and solo shows, and has been included in the Journal of Cultural Research in Art Education: Christian Iconography and Activism in Contemporary Art of Lillian Mendez and Frani Evedon by Dr. Mary Wyrick. My critical writing, Lois Lane's Lament: The Denigrating Images of Women in Superhero Comic Books, was published in The Journal of Gender Issues in Art and Education.

After receiving my undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Hofstra University, I continued refining my photographic vision, pushing the boundaries of film by using it in a ways it was never intended, resulting in images that tease perception. After moving to Buffalo in 1979, I became a custom color photographic printer for the then nascent Campos Photography Center.

In 1987, I earned my New York State teaching certificate from the Buffalo State College Art Education Certification program. I was immediately hired at Orchard Park High School, where I taught a variety of art classes.
