• 1977 first solo exhibit at the CZECHOSLOVAK WRITERS GALLERY in downtown Prague
• Awarded the Silver Pin by the GUILD OF CZECH PHOTOGRAPHERS
• 1978 wrote and directed “GENERATION ’70”, a theatrical short about the upcoming generation of Czech & Slovak photographers. The film was immediately banned by the communist authorities
• 1981 escaped from the Iron Curtain with his wife and two young sons
• Lived in Austria and Switzerland
• 1982 landed in Canada
• 1985 NICHES - first Canadian solo exhibit, Toronto (Ontario Arts Council grant)
• THE LUMINOUS LANDSCAPE - profile & website contributor
• 1989 produced a documentary film “BORIS” depicting life and work of the legendary Canadian photojournalist Boris Spremo (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)
