Flávia Leitão

I love the challenge of the expression of the body, and the ambiguous look of the composition.
I use my one body as a reference, as a woman I like to paint portraits that are disrupting, where the character is unsettling, mysterious and revealing at the same time.

Flávia Leitão is Portuguese, she is base in Oporto. She studied Graphic design in Fine Arts University of Oporto, and currently work as a graphic Designer. Flávia is an interdisciplinary artist, from art doll, illustrator and painter.
She considers herself a self-taught artist.
Been Always fascinated by figurative representation, her contemporary favorite artist is Paula Rego, Emanuel De Sousa, Will Rochfort among others.
Drawing, watercolor and oil are her favorite mediums.
She works from self-portraits photographs.
