I was born and raised in Chile. During my early years, I had a difficult time learning in school. I was bullied as a child. These traumatic events greatly affected my self-esteem and I thought that I wasn't good. When I was in school I was afraid to share my opinions because I thought that everyone would laugh and call me names.

As the years have gone by I realize that we are all imperfect. If we want to be happy and successful in this life, we have to forgive the people that have hurt us. Once my children had grown up, I was able to take my father into our home and take care of him. He was blind and had dementia. Everyday he got worse as he got older. I remembered a moment from my school years in Chile that I had forgotten completely.

When I was about 6 years old, one of the teachers told my mother that I had a talent for art. I decided to try painting to help take my mind off the trouble I was having with my father and his dementia. It was a great decision because I found that I could describe all of my feelings and emotions with my art. I have never taken any art lessons, this was something that I decided to do on a whim.

I am so glad that God gave me this talent and it makes me so happy to create original art. ...
