Flower Artist Masako

Masako a Tokyo-based flower artist whose practice explores the relationship between flowers and unconventional materials. Beginning her career as a florist in 2002, she studied floral design before undertaking a short-term study program in Paris in 2010, where she developed her understanding of European floral culture and artistic expression.

Since 2016, she has pursued her artistic practice, creating works that combine botanical forms with contrasting materials, exploring structure, balance, fragility, and the beauty of transformation.

Her work has been exhibited in Japan and internationally, including the Paris International Salon and Discover the One Japanese Art 2025 in Paris. In 2025, she received the French International Art Award, and her work was featured in an art magazine.

Through her distinctive approach, Masako presents flowers not merely as decorative elements, but as expressive materials that reveal the tension between nature, materiality, and the passage of time.
