Francesco Majo

Photographer and filmmaker.
His work as a photographer has led him to live for over twenty five years in several major European cities, Milan, Paris, London, Barcelona.
He has received international awards both for his work in the field of food photography and for his personal research, which has always pushed him to seek out and explore different boundaries.

His approach turns subjects into new objects. The paradox is not meant to be a pure provocation but perhaps the only means of escape. The imaginary that he proposes springs from the set of relationships that each individual has with his physical and mental environment, with reality that turns into a representation that has the ability to make individuals act in a certain way. The imaginary for him is the substratum of our “Thought” and is composed of dreams, symbols and images that represent a sort of fantasy world that we humans cannot do without.
