Francisca Fonseca

My artistic practice explores the relationship between images, emotions, and personal interpretation. Working across drawing and painting, I am interested in the ways visual elements such as colour, composition, gesture, and expression can convey meaning and create a connection with the viewer.

My work draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including everyday observations, personal interests, and visual culture. Cinema is one of these influences, offering moments, characters, and compositions that I sometimes revisit through my own artistic perspective.

Rather than following a single subject or style, I approach each work as an opportunity to explore an image, an idea, or a feeling that captures my attention. Through this process, I seek to transform my references into individual works that reflect my sensibility and creative perspective.
