Born in Lancaster in 1979. After graduating from a fine art degree in 2001, I became a professional photographer in 2004. I now divide my time between creating images, writing and teaching.
I specialise in documenting the landscapes, geology and habitats of the British Isles. My work is inspired by both the feel of an environment and the changing properties of natural light.
I have written and illustrated two books: "The Peak District", published in 2008 and "Light and Shadow - The Art of Landscape Photography", which is due for release in spring 2010.
I have been influenced by a broad variety of artists, including painters such as Vermeer, Cezanne and Klimt, and photographers
such as Ansel Adams and Fay Godwin, to name but a few.
