Freddy Lepe (1988) is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the hidden musicality within color and textures. As a graphic designer and composer for the psychedelic rock band The Slow Voyage, Freddy approaches the canvas from a unique perspective: that of the "non-musician musician," a position that allows him to challenge the conventional directions of painting. His work seeks to offer a multitude of possibilities in every brushstroke, immortalizing states of being and converging into sensations that leave the viewer vulnerable and contemplative.
Influenced by the legacy of Monet, Cézanne and Van Gogh, Freddy uses impasto and chromatic dissolution to connect with the transcendent. For him, the future holds no interest; his search lies in the vibrant present of the canvas, where painting has taught him the power and the rhythm of silence. His works are visual compositions that invite the viewer to feel more alive through the pause and the intensity of color.
