Frederic Rekai

I am a French artist dedicated to constructing imaginary mythologies—visual narratives that blend memory, dream, and invention. Working across painting, illustration, mixed media, and giclée, I explore the power of storytelling through symbols, archetypes, and the interplay of modern and timeless forms.

My creative process is both intuitive and deliberate, layering materials and techniques to allow chance and intention to coexist. Each piece I create is a fragment of a larger, evolving mythology—inviting viewers to step into open-ended worlds and discover their own stories within the work.

Based in France, I am fascinated by how art can serve as a portal between the familiar and the unknown. My goal is to inspire imagination and participation, encouraging others to help shape new mythologies for our time.
