About Fredrick Alexander Wales

Most of my work is driven by the need to capture the energy, movement and narrative in the landscapes being depicted and capturing that self-connection to land and sea.

For me, there's always emotion or feeling that needs to be expressed. Working from, plein-air sketches and taking photographic imagery, I create unique artwork by capturing different compositions and narratives from nature, whether that's people, wind or waves, and this is done with more gestural strokes and mark making in the studio to create expressive and impressionist artwork.

Follow me on Instagram and Facebook to see my latest work and what I'm up to, please get in touch if you are interested in my artwork or if you would like a commission piece.
