Gabriela Vaduva

I am a Romanian contemporary artist and the founder of AVUDAV ART. I define myself as a “sculptor in color and relief,” creating a distinctive visual language at the intersection of painting and sculpture.

My artistic identity has developed between two seemingly opposing worlds: the discipline and precision of law and the freedom of artistic matter. Drawing and color have been part of my life since childhood, gradually becoming a natural language through which I express emotion, inner experience, and personal truth.

My practice is centered on impasto, sculptural relief, and contemporary bas-relief. Each work begins with an original pencil sketch and evolves through the careful modeling of structural paste, acrylic color, texture, and metallic accents. I use classical tools, unconventional objects, and my own hands to transform the canvas into a tactile, three-dimensional space where light, matter, and emotion interact.

At the heart of my artistic vision is Organic Femininity—a personal concept through which the female form merges with flowers, leaves, trees, and symbolic elements.
