Gabrielle Ceglia is an Italian surrealist artist who was born in Rome in 1971
Now based in London, England.
For many years she was experimenting with different techniques and mediums.
Including collages, painting and writing poems.
She is a self taught painter with an acute sense of imagination and an explosive colour palette.
Each painting represents a combination of emotions, fears, dreams and reality.
All dependent on her moods when she is creating her art.
In her paintings the subject s are usually split in two courses of action
or two differing emotions and contrasting and opposing elements are often used.
By using an image-development strategy and placing, side by side, images or elements
in a way that changes the meaning or effect of each, the viewers
attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.
