When I paint, I become the painting. It is pure meditation. It springs from within.
In my art, I express colors, light, dreams, nature and often another dimension that is beyond, yet around us - inside us.
Art is my way to express the beauty of existence how I see it - and what I see is more than what is visible for the physical eye, a quality or reality that can’t be put in words.
Next to art, I also studied furniture design at the Royal Collage of Art in Norway - and design is part of some art I make. I create atmospheric lamps, interiors and furniture, sometimes combined with painting technique.
I am very fascinated and inspired by light, in all possible ways: in nature, reflected on water, on the canvas, in lamps.
I also work and give workshops and sessions as a (Reconnective) Healer – and also here, light flows through my hands and brings healing.
These two, art and healing are for me deeply connected, that’s why my company is called Healing Arts-Art of Healing.
I also work as graphic designer and am mother of a small daughter.
Artists that has inspired me :Marc Chagall, Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Peder Severin Krøyer, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Calude Monet, Edvard Munch, E'douard Manet and Gustav Klimt.
I was born and raised in Norway. After several courses in art and design, I went on to study art, interior architecture and furniture design at the Royal Academy of Arts in Oslo, Norway, from 1997 to 2004.
