When I came to America from the U.K. at the age of 8 my grandfather, a working artist, spent years teaching me. He showed me the power of composition and led me to see and recognize the direction, color and quality of light. Later-on, growing up in East Boston as an inner-city kid, I was recognized by and given a scholarship to the MFA Boston. It changed my life.

I have been working as an independent, professional still photographer for my entire career. My job is to create strong, visually intelligent photographs every time. I have photographed hundreds of major campaigns and shot my way around the world several times on behalf of US business.

My personal work is what fulfills and comforts me. It makes things right. I love to show what I find.
