George Fischer's favorite subjects include floral, architectural, abstract and Florida landscapes. His work is in homes in Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Washington as well as Amsterdam and Vienna. Locally his work can be seen in juried exhibits at several Florida art centers, as well as in dentist and medical offices. His paintings have been commissioned or sold to Florida residents and others. He prefers to work with watercolor and acrylic.
“I enjoy the process from concept to reality,” he says. “The selection of subject matter, composition, color, hue and intensity all involve decisions at every step of the process – as enjoyable as it is challenging.”
His wife of 40 years, Lois, who owned an advertising agency for 30 years, is an important partner in his art. She explains that her husband's art is the culmination of interesting life experiences and travels, translating into interesting art.
