George Popa

George Popa (born 1969, Bucharest, Romania) is a painter, sculptor, art director and freelance illustrator. His work explores the intersection of conceptual composition and figurative narrative, often driven by an experimental approach.
Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, Popa creates expressive, layered compositions that evoke themes of memory, instinct, and the human condition. His visual language combines raw gesture with symbolic imagery, resulting in works that are both immediate and introspective.
Each piece is conceived as a self-contained story, inviting the viewer into a personal and often ambiguous narrative space. Through art, I pursue the essential balance of emotions that gives meaning to my life, and I offer it to others as a contribution to a better world.

Degree in fine arts and decorative arts at university George Enescu, Iasi.

The first personal exhibition was organized in the headquarters of IAA Romania, and I exposed about 25 works.
The name of the exhibition "ONE"

Then I exposed 2 times in the gallery Aiurart. Agency art and Caragiale. The exhibition dedicated to Caragiale I worked my first installation - a typography incandescent digging into a brick BCA. The installation was called "Great Warmth".

Recently I presented the project ARTHOL, Leonida 19, the exhibition named Second Nature.
