Gina Bogomol

I was born in the wonderful city of Saint Petersburg, right in the historical part of it. My first conscious drawings related to the age of five. I remember my mom surprisingly exclaiming, "Did you draw this?" She loved violin and wanted me to become a musician. After three years of playing violin, I made my choice in favor of visual arts.

This was followed by getting an education at the children’s art school, art college, and University. After graduation, I spent seventeen years working at schools, teaching children art history, movements, and techniques. Since I was passionate about teaching art I rarely had the opportunity to create myself.

My life completely changed during the Spring Lockdown 2020, when like the vast majority of people, I was locked up at home. I finally was able to bring to life what I had always dreamed of. Painting became vitally necessary for me.

I draw inspiration from the beautiful organic color palettes found in nature, as well as from various subjects and compositions encountered in everyday life.
