Giovanna Castelletti

Born and grew up on the shimmering shores of Lake Como, Italy, and now living and work in Berlin, Germany.
My journey as a contemporary abstract artist has been shaped by life, travel, and the many landscapes and cultures I’ve experienced—from the vibrant streets of Vietnam and the traditions of China to the wild expanses of New Zealand and Canada.
Each place I’ve called home leaves its mark on my work, inspiring the colours, textures, and layered abstractions that define my paintings.

Nature is my greatest muse, yet I also draw inspiration from the emotions and experiences life gifts us every day.
The stillness of a lake, the pulse of a city, the raw energy of a coastline, or the fleeting moments of human feeling—all find expression in my abstract compositions.
I work intuitively with acrylics and mixed media, building depth, movement, and texture to create immersive, layered experiences on the canvas.

As a self-taught artist, my practice is a continuous journey of exploration and experimentation.
My paintings have been displayed in public venues such as Cafes, restaurants, Clinics and shops, allowing audiences to engage with them in everyday life, and are held in private collections across Europe, Asia, and Oceania, including A...
