Gipselly Troya

I am a textile artist based in Colombia. My creative journey began in childhood, growing up with my mother, an artisan who taught me the value and magic of handmade creation. From a very young age, I was surrounded by materials and ideas, learning to crochet and sew by hand.

At the age of fifteen, I began sewing by machine, since then, I have worked on various textile projects. Over time, I cultivated a deep appreciation for fabric and the endless creative possibilities it offers.

Today, I create textile artworks mainly inspired by nature — the sky, the emotions evoked by landscapes, and the way human beings can coexist in harmony with the natural world. This is why I work with reclaimed fabrics and production remnants, giving new life to materials through art.
