EDUCATION
Giulio Gonella is an Italian photographer and visual artist based in Rome. Working across fine-art photography, portraiture and visual communication, he develops series that explore identity, the body and the relationship between image and place. His projects include BackLight, Inside, Wake Up and Route and Roots. He has taught photography in Italy and at Zhejiang Fashion Institute of Technology in Ningbo, China. He received the Nikon Talents portrait award in 2012, and his work has been presented at the 5th Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography in Barcelona.
