George Jeffrey

Born and educated in Carlisle Cumbria.
A major scholarship took me to Carlisle College of Art for four years studying printing methods and illustration. I was awarded the National Diploma in Design.
For a number of years I worked in the advertising industry as an illustrator, graphic designer/typographer for several of the large agencies and studios in London. After the age of thirty-five I left London to become a freelance artist and illustrator. My first exhibition of semi-abstract paintings in acrylic was at the Painswick Gallery in Gloucestershire.
I moved to Cornwall some years ago to establish myself as a full time artist taking my inspiration initially from Cornwall, the results of this can be seen online at .
