SOM is an abstract painter based in Puerto Rico whose work lives at the intersection of emotional intensity and chromatic disruption. Working primarily in acrylic, SOM builds compositions through instinct — layering gestures, colors, and textures that collide rather than harmonize, finding beauty in the tension between chaos and control.

SOM is entirely self-taught, developing a practice built on instinct, experimentation, and an unfiltered relationship with the canvas — unbounded by academic convention.

The GLITCHFORM body of work draws from the raw energy of the Caribbean — its heat, its color, its contradictions — filtered through a practice rooted in feeling first, thinking second. Each painting is an unedited record of a moment: the urgency of the brushstroke, the weight of the palette knife, the decision to let the paint drip and stay.

With just two years of painting, SOM has developed a voice that is immediate and unmistakable — bold fields of color interrupted by explosive gesture, canvases that don't ask to be looked at so much as felt. GLITCHFORM is both brand and manifesto: art as interference, color as force, disruption as a form of truth.
