Hélène Hibou, visual artist.
The movement and the stillness, the permanent and the fluctuating, the plant world, the water, the wind, the constellations ...
In order to highlight the life that flows through these elements, Hélène Hibou chooses to experiment with a large variety of techniques: drawing, photography, printing, installations and carving.
As an example, her work on the wind expresses a perpetual and unstable motion with large drawing landscapes (using pencils, ball-point pens, charcoals) sometimes associated with photographs and engraved elements.
Water, sap, blood, juices, everything that flows and circulates in the plant and the living world is represented in the form of colorful circles, mandalas (engravings and collages) showing the flows that travel the world.
Through her work, Hélène Hibou intends to show us the poetry that surrounds us and that we do not necessarily see: some condensation droplets running down a window and a strange landscape appears through the eye of the artist.
After graduating in Fine-Arts and Art History studies, Helen Hibou is dedicated to the creation in a variety of areas: drawing, etching, unique illustrated books, installations in the city or in nature.
