Born in Saint Petersburg in 1983, I graduated from the Repin Academy of Arts as an architect. I might have continued working as an architect, but first I met adults with a special mindset. I worked with “Anton’s Right Here,” “Maletsky House,” “Legko-Legko,” and the “New Urban Artists.” Then printmaking came into my life.
Now I live and work in Serbia, in Belgrade.
As a contemporary artist, I work in printmaking. I combine classical techniques with experimental approaches and materials.
My work focuses on the human mind. I am interested in vulnerable, crisis, and socially taboo states that often stay unseen or pushed away. Through figurative images, I show tension, fragility, anxiety, isolation, and inner change.
I depict a person, most often a woman, often nude. For me, the body is a special visual language. With it, I speak about inner states.
An important part of my practice is working with social contexts. I address themes of gender roles, everyday pressure, and invisible forms of violence.
I graduated from the Saint Petersburg Repin Academy of Arts as an architect.
