Gretel Warner

Gretel Warner portrays the female nude as a lens into the complexities of womanhood within our fast-paced, social media-centric world. Her mission is to reclaim the iconic representation of the nude, celebrating the female form authentically and candidly without the filters imposed by social media's glare.

Drawing inspiration from personal encounters, feelings, and recollections, her emotionally charged paintings often evolve into abstract and dysmorphic forms.

Within her practice, Gretel seeks solace from the whirlwind of both digital and physical realms, offering a space for both herself and her audience to pause and reflect. Exploring emotions through a vivid spectrum of colors and alternating between refined and expressive brushwork, she delves into the fluidity of identity and the ever-shifting nature of the human psyche and physique.
