He was born on March 28, 1952, in Khabarovsk, Russia.

Grigoriy Ivanov is the founder of a new trend in the art named "Svetism" (Power of Light). The main idea of "Svetism" is the perception of the fact that everything is power and light. Subjects, objects, people are all light. And the picture itself is a luminous object. And what is depicted in it, shines by itself, and not illuminated by any light source. The feeling of light is one of the main attributes of "Svetism".

1967-1971 – A. Glebov Minsk Arts College.
