Jane Federer

Jane Federer (b. 1995, Minsk, Belarus, resident of Portugal, also West Indies) is a multimedia researcher and painter living and working in Boelhe, Portugal. She combines a background in performing arts with a Master's degree in Computer Science, bringing together the observational sensitivity of an actress and the analytical thinking of an engineer. Her early work, How Humans See Artworks (Minsk, 2019), paired paintings with eye-tracking data to reveal invisible patterns of visual attention. Since moving to Portugal in 2021, Jane has developed
what she calls experience art.
