Grzegorz Gust

Grzegorz Gust, born in 1973 in Grudziądz and currently residing in Szubin, is an esteemed contemporary Polish artist whose creative practice has earned acclaim both nationally and internationally. A graduate of the Faculty of Forestry at the Agricultural University of Poznań, he builds his artistic presence by combining a passion for painting with his unique professional background as a forester, bringing a highly authentic perspective to his work.

A key marker of his institutional career is his active membership in the Association of Visual Artists (ZAP). An international milestone came with an extensive feature published on the global contemporary art platform Aatonau, titled “Grzegorz Gust: Between Stillness, Texture, and Light,” which highlighted his exceptional ability to translate natural structures into visual art and positioned him among creators setting new directions in organic abstraction. His work has also been recognized and presented on the international platform ITSLIQUID as part of its Featured Artist series.

My foundation is inextricably linked to my career as an active forester. Decades of observing the "anatomy of the forest" allow me to work with the deep structural logic of organic forms rather than superficial representation. In mixed media techniques, I am self-taught, having spent years researching the physical and chemical properties of artistic mediums.
: I explore the geometric order and organic dynamics of nature. I create three-dimensional dendritic structures reminiscent of root systems and biological networks. I seek to translate the quiet stillness of the forest into a visual language, exploring the intersection between natural form and the human quest for harmony.
My style is a distinct variation of organic abstraction. Using mixed media, I build heavy, sculptured background textures. My palette relies on muted, grounded earth tones that evoke tranquility, equilibrium, and a touch of fairytale stillness.

Media Features & International Recognition
Grzegorz Gust was selected as a Featured Artist by the global contemporary art platform ITSLIQUID Group. His work was also highlighted in an extensive international feature by Aatonau Art Magazine titled “Grzegorz Gust: Between Stillness, Texture, and Light”.

Duo & Group Exhibitions
The artist recently presented his work in the duo exhibition “Gusta i Guściki II” at Galeria Tumska in Poznań, held under the patronage of the Association of Visual Artists (ZAP). His exhibition history also includes participation in the National Exhibition of Painting, Sculpture, and Photography at the Regional Museum in Rogoźno, a curated Abstract Art Exhibition in Poznań, and the initial duo show “Gusta i Guściki I” in Szubin.
