Hai Doan is a San Diego-based artist whose work blends traditional Chinese brush techniques with watercolor painting. Inspired by nature, Zen philosophy, and East Asian artistic traditions, his paintings capture the quiet beauty of orchids, bamboo, and plum blossoms through expressive brushwork and balanced composition.
Born in Vietnam and trained in fine art, Hai has devoted decades to both artistic practice and visual design. His work reflects a lifelong appreciation for simplicity, harmony, and the contemplative spirit found in nature. Each painting is created by hand using traditional materials and techniques, offering a moment of stillness in today's busy world.
