About Hannah Bureau

Hannah (pictured here in front of her painting: "Storm King") was born in Paris and moved to America at the age of 8. Hannah attended The Putney School, Bard College, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and is currently a Masters of fine arts candidate in painting at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Hannah lives in an old textile mill that has been converted into artist spaces with her twin daughters, dog Mayzie, and husband Jeff. My paintings are abstract landscapes where chance plays together with color and composition. I think of my paintings as autobiographical accumulations of memory and nostalgia.
