While exploring the interrupted image and fragmented figuration, these works are intended to capture the the anxiety and instability of our time, while employing a disintegrating and glitching pictorial plane that taps digital tendencies.

" In his painting practice Harley Smart reflects an interest in the changing nature of the image in these digital times.
