Hassan Hamdi (1973) is a Moroccan-Dutch expressionist artist based in Amsterdam. His work bridges two worlds — the vivid emotion of North African tradition and the raw introspection of European modernism.
Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca (1992–1996), Hassan developed a style rooted in bold lines, intimate gestures, and cultural duality. His canvases often depict solitary figures, relationships, and silent moments that speak louder than words.
Working across painting, drawing, and photography, Hamdi explores themes such as exile, human emotion, and identity. His art has been featured on international platforms like Saatchi Art, Art Heroes, and Celeste Network.
“I paint silence. I draw what we feel but cannot say.”
Currently based in Amsterdam, Hamdi continues to create and exhibit original works, with selected pieces available as limited-edition prints.
