Havilah Abrego

Havilah Abrego (b. 1997, Los Angeles, California) is a self-taught artist and naturalist based in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Through the study of acrylic-on-canvas painting, Abrego cultivates a deeper understanding of the underwater world through her practice, pulling inspiration directly from her experiences as a scuba diver and student of marine biology. Focusing on facilitating scientific communication through creative expression, Abrego's work offers an opportunity to reflect on humanity's relationship to the Ocean, the future of Planet Earth, and what can be done to rekindle the collective connection to the natural world.
